I started my yoga practice at the age of 14 and it waned at 18 when I went to college. Got busy with family and picked it back up at 45 learning online with Yoga with Adrienne who I am forever indebted to for being there online for me.

​

The practice that started before 45, began with going to the gym as I was overweight, loaded with cholesterol, hypertension, and border line diabetic (trending up).  I had lost my father when he was 55 (I was 22 barely out of college) to cardiac arrest and my mother had a triple bypass when she was 50.  These attributes ran in my family, and I was determined to live a quality life, hence had decided at an earlier age to take charge of my own health!

The initial drop in weight was easy but it was like blowing in the wind without a sail.  That’s when I turned inward and rediscovered yoga and the art of controlling breath with every movement.  Yoga became my staple and with a discipline, Yoga with Adrienne (YouTube channel) and I would work starting at 5am for an hour.  I started to build sustainable strength and my health dashboard started to improve though was still in the red.  At 50 I turned vegan, having been a carnivore all my life.  I incorporated walking 3 miles in the evening come rain or shine.  Within six months, I walked away from cholesterol, hypertension, and from being a confirmed diabetic, attributing the positives to discipline, yoga, diet, and walking.

After taking on two intensive Yoga teacher programs with Yoga Farm Ithaca in Hatha and Kundalini with Ayurveda, and a Mental Health First Aider from MHFA England, my practice has deepened, and I find joy in being able to journey with others interested in improving their wellbeing.  Yoga, inner peace, ayurveda, mental wellness, and energy flow are at the core of my work.
